Test Capabilities & Support Service
AdvantaPure is proud to have a robust research and development program. To support our efforts in this area we have created a variety of in-house test lab areas each with their own unique set of test equipment and capabilities. Designed to support a range of needs – from the individual test requirement to the full R & D initiative, having comprehensive, in-house test capabilities provides the supports our team needs to develop new products as well as refine existing products for the biopharma and other industries. We additionally stand ready to support our industry partners with their specific needs, as they arise, in conjunction with our collaborative project initiatives – from the initial concept through to the manufacturing phase.
Analytical Lab
A visit to AdvantaPure’s Analytical Lab will reveal a host of specialized test methods being employed. Our experienced team of material scientists, manufacturing engineers and other experts in our field have developed a proprietary methodology designed to characterize materials with:
- Differential Scanning Calorimetry
- Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
- Rheological Testing
- Optical Microscopy
- Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Microscopy
Pilot Lab
The dedicated pilot lab area provides a small-scale facility within our main manufacturing location that supports full product development, allowing testing of new processes, technologies and products.A multi-disciplinary R & D team supports initiatives aimed at concept development and testing in order to fully vet new and innovative ideas making them market ready.
Within the walls of the pilot lab we possess the capability to run small batch extrusion trials and then scale them to production level runs. Simultaneously, we are able to explore and evaluate alternative processing techniques to arrive at the perfect solution. This is all accomplished under one roof as we further create the samples to enable a robust evaluation of the product development efforts.
As experts in silicone thermoset extrusion and thermoplastics processes, we are excited by the exploration opportunities our lab presents.
